What is Madness?
"Madness" or "Meloncholy" was a term for mental illness in Elizabethan England. Meloncholy was a term for deep sadness or depression. The term madness was created when mental health issues were not nearly as common as they are today. The patients were looked upon as "crazy" or "dangerous."
